My apologies for taking so long to get back to you, but I’m here again! Thank you for staying subscribed!
Good morning, fam. Today I want to talk about the dumpster fire rolling its way toward you.
Let’s be honest. There are a lot of us who are/will be directly impacted by the stupidity of this administration. Whether you’re a woman, a person of color, part of the LGBTQIA+ community (especially if you’re trans), non-Christian, neurodivergent, any flavor of ‘other’, the next four years feel like they’ll be a neverending shitshow.
And it is.
Those feelings you’re having—that hopelessness, the anger, the rollercoaster of fear—they’re all valid. I cannot in good faith tell you when it’ll get better. I don’t know that, and I don’t lie to you.
What I want to tell you is to hold on. You might not be able to see it, but there’s still hope. It’s not missing, just misplaced, but it’s not gone. That is the truth. And as long as we have that spark, our world isn’t over yet.
Does that mean you should just sit there? Absolutely not. There are things you can do to hone that emotional tumult into a fine blade to fight against the wave of hate and audacity we’re facing. Together, not only can we fight it, we can win.
Again, it’s okay that you don’t believe it right now. I’ll believe for both of us. And when you’re ready, I’ll hold your hand and stand by your side until we win.
You’ve got this.
You never have to do it alone.
Much Love,
Your Mom
